Your digital circular. Only better.

Role: UI/UX, Prototyping, Visual Design, Project Manager

Online Retail Advertising Platform

Sale ad pages are great for print, not on screens. I was tasked to create a better experience for retail customers on how they view and interact sale flyers in a modern way. I teamed up with developers to design and create a new digital circular platform that we can offer to our retail clients.

Leadership at Fisher challenged us to create a digital version of the traditional print circular. As a circular print provider for more than 85 years, we needed another product to serve to our retail clients in this digital age. We designed and developed our very own online version of the circular.

  • The challenge for this project is translating print page creatives to digital versions.

In addition to that, viewing print-format advertisements online requires mobile device users to pinch and zoom on the pages to view content, leading to poor user experience

  • • Each product in the sale flyer is dynamic to display correctly when viewed on any device

    • Dynamic content allows the retailer to explore multiple media formats and also include sponsored contents, like branded videos and commercials

    • The platform is built for independent retailers in mind, enabling them to create ads with unlimited versions of pricing and products based on location availability and inventory

    • Ability to distribute the digital circular on multiple digital marketing channels like geofencing, email and display ads, expanding the audience

  • • Dynamic content: Allows quick changes for retailers with multiple versions of the ad

    • Retailer-Friendly: Data can be populated using spreadsheet format, enabling retailers to quickly make changes to individual ad version for each store location

    • Vendor Sponsorship Capabilities: Multimedia support like video, GIF and custom ad placements provides retailers more flexibility with content

    • Lets end user create shopping list, add custom and share list

Example User Flow

Additional features like shopping/custom list and geolocation creates a better user experience for customers. The platform's ability to support multiple media formats like videos and GIFs also enables vendor-partnership opportunities for retailers.
